PSYKER

LIGHTNING

I know what you’re thinking, ”Lightning build but not using Smite?” yes, you’re right. Heres why, we don’t need it. Using the lightning staff instead allows us to take brain burst to pop high value targets from much further away, allowing for a much more dynamic psyker that can be useful in different engagements. The lightning provided from our staff fills the role enough for stunning enemies, dealing some damage, but mostly controlling the field. The venting ability clears your peril so you can keep it up longer, and sword is mainly used in tough situations were you’re out of peril, or surrounded by a horde. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a all-round psyker that has a bit of palpatine included. If you’re looking for a dedicated Smite build, check the other build I have.

WEAPONS

One of the strongest melee weapons for the Psyker, the ForceĀ  Greatsword is versatile and comes with some amazing blessing combinations.

For blessing with this build, Shred and Wrath are 2 great perks to have. Having increased critical hit chance just by hitting enemies with consecutive attacks makes for a pretty devastating weapon. The more critical hits, the faster the enemy dies. Wrath will help with clearing hordes as it increases your Cleave with every hit and that stacks quite high.

For perks, seeing as you’re using your melee only for hordes or when you’re surrounded, Infested and Unarmored is going to be your best choice. Clearing up all the smaller enemies around you so you can go back to your staff is your only goal.

The Electrokinetic staff is a very strong weapon, while not offering the best damage, its the stun that is much more valuable here. Stunning elites so they stop being a threat allows your team to easily clean them up. Whenever your peril allows it, and while not being directly threatened, using your staff is a huge benefit to your team.

Warp Flurry and Warp Nexus, while they function differently, very easily build off each other. Warp Flurry relies on consistent and consecutive attacks to activate, and Warp Nexus build off your peril level, the more you attack, the more peril you get. Having both these perks together augment the weapon equally and efficiently.

Since Flak enemies come in much larger numbers, being more effective against them is great. In addition, being able to stun Unyielding, or at the very least deal bit of extra damage is going to help the low damage of the staff.

CURIOS

x3

Curios are really flexible, with only a couple perks that really benefit builds. In this case, Thoughness can be substituted for Health if required, but Toughness is still recommended. You might want at least 1 Curio to have 1 Wounds on it, wounds increase the amount of health bars you have. This is beneficial, especially on higher difficulties, as it allows some leeway if mistakes happen, or you get overwhelmed.
Combat Ability regen is going to be great to get your venting ability back faster, allowing you to continue using your staff for longer. Gunner resist, or some sniper resist, is a great alternative option as well, getting some damage resistance against enemies that might be out of range of your staff.
