This is a staff build using Vitality as it’s main source of damage and Lightning as it’s secondary source. Using the recommended armor pieces, the build has a lot of extra skills that allows having many skills and not all of them need to be allocated max points in order to have the maximum effectiveness. Ensure to never have more then +4 the cap shown for each skill.
While leveling, max out Deathchill Aura, Ternion Attack, Summon Lich King and Storm Nimbus, Thunderball and Squall. The skills shown below do not account for increased skill points from the selected armor. If you need extra skill points, remove points from Dark Covenant and Lightning Bolt.
Use the best items you can find in your playthrough that compliment the skills being used. You most likely won’t find all the items listed in this guide, and that’s ok, it will perform regardless. The items are just a nice bonus.
This will be your starting class and will be the center point of the build. Focus on the master bar, put at least 1 point in Deathchill aura. Do not take Ternion Attack right away, the fewer points you have in it, the less damage it does. Wait until you have at least 8 or so points banked before putting them in. At max level, it only has a 20% damage loss. This is further negated if you can get it over the cap. Summon Lick King is a great pet to have around to keep enemies occupied while you stay safe while attacking them at range. Death Ward is a great avoid death skill, and Summon Outsider is a strong pet that only stays for a short amount of time, so use against bosses or tough enemies
This will be your secondary class and the main source of all your lightning damage with this build. Storm Nimbus is going to be a very easy to apply lightning damage, and will always be active. Rank up until you unlock Lightningball as this will serve as one of your main skills. Slowly level the mastery tree, but do not prioritize this mastery, as the Spirit mastery is more important. Lightning Bolt is another great skill to have, but if you’re hurting for points elsewhere, you can leave it until later. Ternion Attack is the most important skill (Spirit) in this build, and many skills revolve around improving your damage output consistently.
Attribute points cannot be reset in Titan Quest. Keep your attribute points until you have equipment you cannot equip and allocate them as needed. Always retain your points until you need to spend them and ensure you have the stats to equip your endgame gear.
Required stats to wear the below gear;
STR – 170
DEX – 425
INT – 596
Given the difficulty at acquiring specific armor in the game without any third-party software, take the following items as recommendations. At the end of the day, use what you find that helps improve your total damage and survivability. This build uses Vitality as it’s main damage source. Keep your resistances as high as possible.
First choice for your helm, offering energyand energy regen that benefits the build, and more importantly it increases your casting speed. Pair this with a good relic or charm to further increase the effectiveness of your helm.
Part of the Freyja set that really compliments this caster build. Reducing skill recharge rate, flat vitality damage, and some helpful resistances, this is a great piece to use.
Part of the Freyja set, reducing skill recharge time and increasing your resistances. Also very importantly, an increase to all your skills. As you accumulate more pieces of the set, you’ll gain more attack speed, and casting speed.
Arguably the best pair of gloves that can be found in the game, solely for its increase to all skills. This armor piece will have other stats on it, but these are the guaranteed stats available.
A great piece of armor for survivability. It can have other stats as well, and if you can get Tinkerer suffix on it, than it can be a very valuable piece of gear.
Part of the Freyja set that really compliments this caster build. Reducing skill recharge time, a nice array of resistances and increasing movement speed is really nice.
Brisingarmen is very strong as it have both skill recharge reduction, and an increase to all skills in both masteries. It does offer a small increase to resistances, but the above 2 stats are the reason this piece is viable.
There is no image for Kuklos, but ideally, look for any ring with Socrates prefix, for the increase INT /Energy, and Tinkerer so you can equipe 2 charms/relics.
This is the best relic to have, and this applies to many other builds. This is mainly because of it’s easy reduced recharge rate to your skills. If you’re noticing a lack of resistances or survivability, consider using Apples of Idun instead.
Probably the best weapon for a caster vitality build. In addition to the Vitality damage it can put out, it will convert damage to health, and increase you energy total and regeneration. Effectively, allowing for more skills to be thrown out in a shorter amount of time.
