The Zealot is a versatile class that spends most of there time upfront in the enemies faces, usually alongside the Ogryn, if you have one. This build plays into that aspect of the Zealot class quite well, using the Relic Blade to quickly dispatch hordes with heavy swings, and is effectively strong against elites. This generalist build is designed to be useful in all circumstances, while not focusing in anything directly. The versatility of the Relic sword, in combination with the Bolt Pistol, you can handle just about any situation on your own, but really shines with your team. The generalist build was designed so you wouldn’t need to swap your build around based on mission or team composition, making a decent build to use all together.

The Relic Blade is one of the best weapons the Zealot can use. It’s very strong heavy attacks can cut through hordes with heavy, and it’s attack pattern make its very easy to deal with Elites.
Focusing on the heat buildup mechanic of the weapon, both blessings are directly impacting the heat buildup mechanic. Heatsink, getting critical strike kills, or weakspot kills will reduce the heat buildup over a short duration. Cranial Grounding does essentially the same thing as Heatsink, reducing heat buildup, but instead of needing kills, it functions off just weakspot hits.
Carapace and Unyielding account for some of the largest and most armored enemy targets. Doing some extra damage to these targets with your melee weapon as needed is great. You can also swap Unyielding to Flak, to deal with a larger amount of enemies instead.

The Godwyn-Branx Bolt Pistol is a new bolt gun pistol, it dosen’t offer the same stopping power as the regular BoltGun, but its a great middle ground between it and a regular revolver, offering decent damage, and good versatility.
Surgical is a great blessing to get guaranteed critical hits. This can easily remove key enemy targets as needed before they become a problem. Puncture is great for bigger targets, and elites in general. Applying some bleeding stacks to get some damage over time is really useful just to get some added damage.
For perks, you can really choose what you want here, more for unyielding, more for flak, the choice is open. I chose the following, more critical damage, since this gun can guarantee critical hits, doing more damage in those cases made the most sense. I also went with Elites, as I usually use this to pick them off before they can become a problem.

Curios are really flexible, with only a couple perks that really benefit builds. In this case, Toughness can be substituted for Health if required, but Toughness is still recommended. You might want at least 1 Curio to have 1 Wounds on it, wounds increase the amount of health bars you have. This is beneficial, especially on higher difficulties, as it allows some leeway if mistakes happen, or you get overwhelmed. Block Efficiency is great to have to further extend the capabilities of your melee weapon. Grabbing some damage resist against gunners can be helpful if you get caught offguard.
