Commando

Soldier + Demolitionist

A traditional Sword & Board build with a very heavy focus with the soldier class. This build use’s Physical and Trauma damage to defeat enemies. This damage type does bypass many enemy types with elemental or pierce resistances, this makes this build very easy in early game, while the gear and skill choices make it very potent in the late game as well.

All Soldier skills are very important with this build. We can honestly proceed with just 1 class selection until mid game, as Demolitionist only offers support skills to our build. Cadence and Blitz are 2 important soldier skills to put points into, as well as the mastery bar until the full Soldier tree is unlocked. Overguard is very helpful to increase your health regeneration and damage, once we have our gear selected. All passive and toggle skills can have a few points put into them, but do not need to be focused greatly into. Once the mastery bar is completed, focus in Oleron’s Rage and completing the Cadence if it is not complete yet. At this point as well, if points have not been allocated to the Demolitionist class, start unlocking it’s mastery bar to unlock it’s skills.

This will be your starting class, focusing on Cadence, but ultimately many skills within the Soldier tree are the focus of this build. Use Blitz as your right-mouse button skill to move around the battlefield quickly, alternatively, Break Morale to reduce enemy health. Overguard is used as a secondary healing, and with our gear choices, it also adds damage. The changes done with Markovian’s Defense while reducing the cooldown, also reduces the effect of Overguard, but the reduced cooldown makes this worthwhile. The rest of the passive and toggle skills from this class are very important to the build. Focus on the mastery bar at first, putting a few points in skills as you unlock the later skills.

This will be your secondary class, simply chosen to support our main class Soldier. We focus on 2 skills, vindictive flame and temper. The other skills in the tree are picked-up simply because we already have the main skills selected. There are no other skills or furthering of the mastery bar with this class.
