Verity's Brow

This might be the strongest strand build for the warlock currently available. Verity’s Brow interaction with this build is not what it seems. On its own, it provides increased grenade damage and energy on a damage type matching the subclass element in use, in this case, Strand. The shackle grenade doesn’t really do any damage on it’s own, but we’re it really shines with this build is when you consume your grenade. Consuming your grenade provides the Weaver’s Trace ability, while this ability is active, all final blows with it will cause suspending detonations on final blows. Because of Verity’s Brow, all these detonations will do double the damage. This is much stronger when a normal grenade having increased damage and is extremely effective in all game difficulties.

The Wanderer is a new aspect, but since we don’t really use hatchling, it will be of better use to this build. It now allows threadlings to create tangles (helpful if you’re running a hatchling perk). More importantly, Tangles that you throw will attach themselves to targets and detonate, creating a suspending burst around the detonation. Mindspun Invocation is really important to this build. While you can throw your grenade to do an immediate suspending burst, ideally, we want to be consuming the grenade. Doing so will activate Weaver’s Trance, while this perk is active, all final blows will create a suspending detonation. Consume your grenade when you have Death Throws will increase the damage you can do when Weaver’s Trace detonations. Death Throes stacks x5.

Thread of Continuity
increase the duration of all suspend, unravel and sever effects applied to enemies. Quite useful to this build since we use suspend in just about every final blow while Weaver’s Trance is active. Thread of Generation dealing damage will now generate grenade energy. This is great to keep your shackle grenade charged so you can consume it the moment you have x5 Death Throes again.  Thread of Warding helps with survivability, grating Woven Mail when you pickup any orb of power. These should be easy to come by thanks to all of our strand damage. Thread of Transmutation while you have Woven Mail, thanks to Thread of Warding, weapon final blows will create Tangles. Tangles are stronger thanks to The Wanderer aspect so having these spawn more is nothing but a benefit.

Exotic Weapon(s)
Osteo Striga

The best strand primary exotic weapon. The reason we want a strand primary is to get x5 Death Throes as quickly as possible. Quicksilver is the hardest hitting strand primary exotic, that can also create tangles with it’s secondary firing mode final blows. Feel free to use an exotic heavy weapon instead, but ensure to still have a strand primary weapon type equipped as it is required to synergies with the exotic helmet.

Currently the strongest strand SMG available. Has create perks and stats for both a threadling build, or general.

Until it's Return

A strong strand shotgun should you need to use a exotic heavy. Has great perks available to suit any playstyle

Laser Painter

If you can get good perks on it, this strand linear can be a strong contender for your heavy weapon of choice.

Perk Recommendation

Hatchling // Demolitionist


Any weapon with the above perks will benefit the build. Hatchling is always a strong choice with any strand build, even when not running with a specific hatchling build. They are a great source of additional damage at no extra cost of yourself. Demolitionist is a simply perk that produces grenade energy with any final blow. This is ideal for keeping your grenade energy charged throughout any encounter.

Either one of these siphons works for the build. Recommend using the less expensive one that is currently available.

Generate super energy on Grenade kills.

Increase Intellect for a short while.

Causing damage with your Melee attack will reduce your grenade cooldown
