This build is a good boss damage setup. While it did receive a severe nerf in season 21, it can still be used to do decent damage. The build relies on throwing as many grenades as possible while standing in Well of Radiance or Empowering Rift. While standing in these, and dealing damage, will regenerate your grenade energy. Using Fusion Grenades will give you 2 grenade charges to use.
Aspects
Touch of Flame is a big increase in our grenade damage. In this case, Fusion grenades explode twice. This effectively doubles the damage of all your fusion grenades that you use in this build. The second aspect can be selected up to personal preference. In this case, I prefer Heat Rises, as it allows you to shoot your weapons while gliding. Consuming the grenade will allow you to float for much longer, and you gain increase directional control. This is really helpful for any jump puzzles in raids that you may encounter.
Fragment
Ember of Searing will create Firesprites when killing any scorched enemy. It does have a short cooldown between activations. Firesprites provide grenade energy when collected. Ember of Ashes allow you to apply more scorch stacks when you scorch enemies. When enemies get scorched enough, they ignite and explode. Ember of Torches make you radiant when you hit enemies with your powered melee attack. Radiant increases your damage and the damage of anyone near you. Ember of Mercy will apply restoration to you and other when you revive allies. More importantly, you also gain restoration when you collect Firesprites.

Best grenade for this build. Explodes twice.
Witherhoard is the single-most recommend exotic weapon for this build. Since Starfire Protocol relies on doing damage to regain your grenade, Witherhoard is the perfect fit. It applies damage over time that lasts quite while. Not only providing grenade regeneration, but also allowing you to use different weapons for damage.
The Calus Mini-Tool SMG can roll with Incandescant which is very strong with any scorching build. Highly recommended in this build.
This is a great rapid-fire fusion rifle that can output great damage. With the Vorpal weapon perk, it is great for bosses.
Cataclysmic is amazing for boss damage. It is particularly powerful for any distant DPS requirement.
Incandescant or Demolitionist
Any weapon with Incandescant is ideal for this build. Because Incandescant will Scorch targets for each final blow. The more scorch stacks on enemies the better since it helps with solar ignitions as well. You could also get away with Demolitionist, it won’t synergize quite as well with this build, but it will help you keep your grenade energy charged.
