This is an incredibly strong melee build, with damage output that can rival some heavy weapons during boss damage phases. This build is made around melee damage, using synthoceps, having Banner of War active, and a one-two punch shotgun. Every piece of this build is required in order to output the damage potential it has. It is worth farming for a one-two punch shotgun if you don’t already have one. To build up the damage, melee kill enemies until your banner of war reaches x4 stacks. With banner of war active, focus on the boss, do not kill any further enemies, as being surrounded will activate Synthoceps. Shoot 1 shotgun shot into the boss, and follow-up with 1-2 melee hits. Rinse and repeat the shotgun/melee combo. Feel free to use your super after shooting your shotgun as well for more damage uptime. The shackle grenade is a great tool to restrain tougher enemies, but the grapple grenade can be useful to keep your melee damage stacks up.
Into the Fray grants more ways of gaining Woven Mail. Destroying a Tangle, or casting your super grants Woven Mail for you and nearby allies. While you have Woven Mail, your melee regeneration rate is increased. Woven Mail is a strong damage resistance buff that stats on top of your existing resilience damage resistance. Banner of War is really important to this build, defeating enemies with Melee, finishers or swords will raids your banner of war. It will pulse periodically, healing you and nearby allies and increasing melee/sword damage. Defeating more enemies while the banner is active will increase the frequency of the pulses. Make sure to have Banner of War active before starting any melee boss damage combinations.
Thread of Continuity increase the duration of all suspend, unravel and sever effects applied to enemies. Since this build benefits directly from Woven Mail, and a lot of suspending, this fragment quickly benefits the entire build. Thread of Fury damaging enemies with a Tangle grants melee energy. A simple, yet useful fragment to help with overall ability uptime with the build. Thread of Warding, grants Woven Mail when you pick up a orb of power, granting a damage reduction buff. Thread of Binding super final blows create a suspending burst from the target. A great fragment to have to really double down on suspending enemies, and it provides resilience.

While the damage of tractor cannon is quite low, it’s not used in this build for it’s damage. Tractor Cannon will make enemies more vulnerable to all damage. Sine Synthoceps is built around melee, using Tractor Cannon to de-buff the enemy, then using your melee to deal much more damage is very effective. If you need to use a damage specific heavy weapon
A very strong shotgun that benefits melee playstyle of Synthoceps and is Strand. Especially beneficial being a lightweight to increase mobility.
One of the better strand SMG if you’re not using a shotgun. Great for close range engagements.
If you can get good perks on it, this strand linear can be a strong contender for your heavy weapon of choice.
Hatchling // Demolitionist
Any weapon with the above perks will benefit the build. Hatchling is always a strong choice with any strand build. They are a great source of additional damage at no extra cost of yourself. Demolitionist is a simply perk that produces grenade energy with any final blow. This is ideal for keeping your grenade energy charged throughout any encounter.
Strand Siphon/Harmonic Siphon
Either one of these siphons works for the build. Recommend using the less expensive one that is currently available.
