This is a very strong exotic armor piece to have and use, especially after the season 21 rework. While using a void subclass, rapidly defeating enemies with shotguns, or defeating powerful enemies, grants a Void Overshield, and will start health regeneration. This is about 2 minor enemies, or 1 tougher enemy to trigger these effects. Added to this, while you have a Void Overshield, your shotguns will deal more damage and all shotgun final blows will refresh your Void Overshield, making it very difficult to kill you while in close quarters. Lastly, to help your shotguns effectiveness, they will grant increase reload speed, and airborn effectiveness. With the added aspects and fragments, ideally we’ll have a void overshield active during every encounter with enemies. These are extremely strong exotic arms, and with the right shotgun, can be devastating in any aspect of the game currently.
Aspects
Bastion casting your super or using your barricade ability, grants an overshield for yourself, and nearby allies. The overshield will slowly regenerate while standing behind the barricade. Offensive Bulwark since this build is about having a Void Overshield near constantly, this aspect will further improve it’s effectiveness. While having a Void Overshield, your grenade ability will recharge faster, and your melee range and damage is increased. Melee final blows will extend the duration of your overshield, which should be easy to do given the proximity of using shotguns. You also gain an additional Shield Throw charge.
Fragment
Echo of Starvation allows you to gain the Devour effect by picking up Orbs of Power or Void Breachs. Devour heals you, and provides grenade ability energy for each final blow. As an added bonus, every kill while having Devour, extends it’s duration, both keeping your grenade charged, and healing you. Echo of Persistence is very important to this build as it will extend the duration of Devour and your Void Overshield, allowing for longer uptime on both of these void buffs. Echo of Instability will grant your void weapons with Volatile Rounds when you defeat enemies with your grenade. This is really helpful to keep your Volatile effects going. Echo of Undermining is were your grenades allow you to do crazy damage. The main bonus we’ll focus on is that enemies will take increased damage while affected by your grenades. It does come with a -20 Discipline cost, but with the amount of grenade energy we create, it should not be noticeable.

Throw your shield towards enemies. It can ricochet off enemies, and applies an overshield for each enemy hit.
Vortex Grenade
A lingering grenade that pulls enemies in and continuously damages them.
An extremely strong shotgun for just about any build, but specifically for its strong synergy with No Backup Plans. This is the ideal weapon to use against champions, or any tougher target, in any difficulty level of the game. The first shot will freeze the target in place, and the second will cause an ignition (if enough pellets hit the enemy). This makes the shotgun an ideal weapon to use here, especially while amplified by the exotic armor piece effect. Do not use if using Basso Ostinato.
This is a fantastic weapon to have and use as the general purpose weapon of this build. It has fantastic weapon perk options that benefit just about any void build.
A strong void shotgun that synergizes with void effects found in this build. Do not use if using Conditional Finality.
A very strong void LMG, this paired with volatile rounds, and an amazing perk selection rounds this build out perfectly.
Destabilizing Rounds // Demolitionist // Repulsor Brace
Any weapon with the above perks will benefit the build and work with it. Destabilizing Rounds will make enemies nearby to the enemies defeated Volatile. Demolitionist increases grenade ability regeneration for each final blow. Repulsor Brace heals your and applies a void overshield when you defeat enemies affected by any void debuff. This includes suppress, volatile, or any weaken effects.
