This is a “Swap Exotic”, meaning, this exotic serves a specific purpose that affects your super, but does not offer any gameplay value. Best used to swap to them, before starting damage vs a boss or difficult enemy. If you don’t like swapping exotics, or are playing content that has a loadout lock, then the following build should help perform nicely with this exotic piece. This exotic piece increases the amount of super energy all orbs of power provide, and increases your super damage based on the amount of orbs you’ve collected with a fully charged super (Max of 4 stacks). Best to use while having these full stacks to get the most damage benefit when using your super ability. This build has amazing boss damage potential and performs amazingly in raids or dungeons, content that has difficult bosses we’re the most damage possible is required.
Aspects
Ensnaring Slam is really the only option of the 3 available aspects available. While in the air, slam down to the ground and consume your dodge ability to suspend all nearby enemies. Using this ability will increase the dodge ability recharge time. Threaded Specter is a fun aspect that both helps with surviving and some minor damage. When you activate your dodge ability, you leave behind a decoy made of strand in your place. When this decoy takes enough damage, or when enemies get close, the decoy will detonate, dealing damage. Additionally, it will release Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby enemies.
Fragment
Thread of Continuity increase the duration of all suspend, unravel and sever effects applied to enemies. Thread of Generation dealing damage will now generate grenade energy. This will help our survivability with the build and ensuring we have our grapple grenade as much as possible. Thread of Mind defeating suspended targets generates class ability energy. Thread of Warding will grant Woven Mail when you collect orbs of power.

This is a great option for a strand weapon (when the catalyst is complete) that has multiple added extra features. While retaining fire, it will shoot out rockets that deal extra damage. After securing enough kills, you can use the alternate firing mode that acts like a grenade launcher. Getting final blows with the grenade launcher firing mode will create tangles that can be used to deal further damage, or to help traverse with your grapple grenade.
Currently the strongest strand SMG available. Has create perks and stats for both a threadling build, or general.
A strong strand shotgun should you need to use a exotic heavy. Has great perks available to suit any playstyle
If you can get good perks on it, this strand linear can be a strong contender for your heavy weapon of choice.
Hatchling // Demolitionist
Any weapon with the above perks will benefit the build. Hatchling is always a strong choice with any strand build thanks to the strand effect damage they They are a great source of additional damage at no extra cost of yourself. Demolitionist is a simply perk that produces grenade energy with any final blow. This is ideal for keeping your grenade energy charged throughout any encounter.
