The first encounter of the dungeon is a relatively easy one, not requiring any boss damage nor any time restrictions. Take this encounter as slowly as you’d like. You will start the encounter at the top of a cliff, with many hive towers below. Some towers will have symbols above them. To make things simple, visit the nearest tower to you. Kill the Knight guarding the entrance, and go inside the room to find a Swordbearer, and 3 sigils above him.
The sigils correspond to which towers to visit along the cliff. Each tower will have 1 of 3 enemies inside their rooms. A Witch, a Knight, and a Shrieker. Each of these enemies need to be killed with the Hive Sword that dropped from the Swordbearer killed from earlier.
The Knight needs to be killed with only light attacks. The Sword super can be used.
The Witch needs to be killed with only heavy attacks. The Sword super can be used.
The Shrieker needs to be killed by blocking it’s projectiles and deflecting them back to it.
Once all 3 towers have been cleared, head to the tower that now has a beacon of light coming out of it. Kill the knight guarding it to conclude the encounter.
Immediately after the first encounter, you will see a wall of doors. None of these doors are correct, they are meant to throw you off. To find the correct path, look down on the right side to see a pulsating light emitting from an opening in the wall. Head down this path to find the Ogre tunnels.
Shown here is a map for the Ogre Tunnels. You can find your way through in any order you prefer. The goal here is to kill Knights within the tunnels (#1-4). When the knights are killed, they drop an orb that needs to be deposited at each gate (#1-3). There will be a few Ogres within the tunnels, these Ogres cannot be damaged or killed, so avoid them best you can. This is the pathway I like to take when doing the dungeon.
From spawn go into Tunnel #3 and deposit at Gate 1. Then go into Tunnel #1, and deposit at Gate 2. Finally, Tunnel #2, and deposit at Gate 3.
Once all 3 orbs have been deposited, the gates will open and the second encounter will be next.
The second encounter of the dungeon is a relatively small room, with a totem, and 3 entrances. (These are the same entrances from the Ogre tunnels). The mechanics of this encounter, you will slowly build up stacks of Curse of Suffering throughout. To prevent the totem from killing everyone, at least 1 person needs to stand under it, the others will collect orbs from knights that will spawn. They spawn in order, according to the image above, starting on the Left, then Middle, then Right. This order repeats, and you need a total of 6 orbs deposited behind the totem. The best way to work through this encounter is to alternate from standing under the totem, and collecting orbs. If your Curse of Suffering stacks too high, it will kill you. The only way to get rid of these stacks is to deposit the orbs from the knights. Once all 6 orbs have been deposited, the encounter concludes. To proceed, shoot out of the wall behind the totem, and proceed down the column filled with traps.
After reaching the bottom of the shaft, you will see 3 symbols, these symbols correspond to the locations on the map above where you need to go to defeat Witches. Once all 3 Witches are dead, you can proceed to the exit, shown as End on the map. These tunnels are filled with mechanisms to kill you, from lanterns to rolling spike rollers. Take your time when clearing this part and make it to the end. Once you clear this portion of the tunnels, you’ll reach the final boss encounter.
Finally, the final boss arena, the mechanics here function the exact same way as the first encounter. You will need to defeat a Knight, a Shrieker, and a Witch, using the Hive swords dropped from the Hive Swordbearers. After defeating each of these enemies, they will drop a orb, this orb needs to be deposited at the base of the stairs, usually right in front of the boss. Once all 3 orbs have been deposited, the damage phase will start. In order to do damage, you will need to stand in the inner ring section with the boss, the floor will glow green. During this damage phase, the boss will attack you with large fire attacks, and cursed thrall will spawn in. Avoid the thralls, and continue damage best you can. The damage phase will conclude when the boss slams his sword into the ground, you will have a few seconds to exit the inner circle, if you don’t, the boss kills you. Repeat the above steps again by killing the Knight/Shrieker/Witch to get the damage phase again.
