Cabalist

Necromancer + Occultist

A caster whose focus is using an army of pets and summoned beings to overwhelm and slaughter every enemy in their path. All armor, skills, and weapons used are chosen with a singular goal in mind: maximizing pet effectiveness while ensuring the caster survives as long as possible. This build performs exceptionally well in the late game, often allowing you to walk through enemies with ease, though it can struggle more than other classes during the early game. When used in a group, this build can be especially fun, creating chaos as an entire army surges forward.

Pet skills are the primary focus, as they directly translate into offensive power and indirectly improve survivability. While enemies are occupied with your pets, they are not targeting you. Certain skills, such as Bone Harvest and Curse of Frailty, are not pet skills themselves but provide significant support. The final modifier in Bone Harvest increases all pet damage, while Curse of Frailty reduces enemy resistances. Blood of Dreeg further improves survivability and adds a modest damage boost. For the most part, all other skill choices are made to benefit pets, even if they are not direct summoning abilities. This build prioritizes investing in multiple pet skills to maintain a large army, rather than concentrating all points into just one or two pets.

This will be your starting class, with a focus on Raise Skeletons and other pet abilities. Prioritize reaching rank 20 sooner rather than later to gain the full benefit of Raise Skeletons, which will be your first pet ability, followed by Blight Fiend. Afterward, begin investing points into your secondary class while continuing to increase both pet skills and the Mastery Bar.

Bone Harvest is not as important of a skill and can be delayed until the late game. Raise Skeletons is the only pet ability we aim to fully max out, as the goal is to maintain multiple Skeletons at all times.

This will be your secondary class, with a focus on advancing the Mastery Bar to unlock later skills. Invest points into the early pet skills and their modifiers as you progress. Curse of Frailty should be taken specifically for its second modifier, Vulnerability.

Once Bonds of Bysmiel is unlocked, the full strength of your pet abilities begins to shine, especially when combined with appropriate gear. While reaching this skill as early as possible is important, it is equally necessary to continue investing points into pet abilities to avoid any issues with progression.
