Soldier + Demolitionist

 

Summary
A good soldier build, utilising most soldier skill with some supporting demolitionist skill to compliment all the physical damage output that it produces.
This is a melee tank built to get in enemies faces and to stay there until one of you die.
When looking for equipment, focus on armor and health in veteran difficulty, afterwards in elite, start looking for resistances, althougth not 100% important just yet.
Once in ultimate, stack resistances as much as possible as enemies will hit hard.
For jewelry, anything with attack speed or physical damage is good, once in higher difficulties, health, resistances and attack are all important.
For the weapon, once you get the Rhowan's Scepter devotion, you'll want to stick strickly to maces for the rest of the game, until then, you can use any weapon that is better.
For the shield, physical damage and any offensive properties are good.
Skills can be allocated anywhere in any amount, the skills chosen in the build and amount are intended for max level,basically, work with what works for you while leveling.

Ring #1 Mythical Ring of the Black Matriarch   First ring, great physical damage, we don't use the poison damage it offers however. Offers good resistances as well.

Ring #2 Incorruptible Gollus' Ring of Oleron's Wrath   The second ring option,we'll take a rare Gollus', offering great health and resistanced, paired with Oleron's Wrath suffix, we can get some decent Physical damage out of it.

The items above are set with average stats, which gives these resistances as a result. Your results may vary slightly.
The damage type you need to watch for in Ultimate difficulty is Stun. Not many normal enemies do Stun attacks, that will mostly be bosses you'll need to be careful with. The other resistances are maxed, (80%), or above.

Skills & Attributes

Skill representation is displayed at level 100 (max). Seeing as they can be re-allocated it doesn't matter in what order you chose your skills.
The attributes points can be assigned at your discretion. It is recommended not to go over the max allocated attribute type, but if you do, there is a potion that can be found that will reset attribute stats.

Soldier Skills

Markovian Advantage : Passive skill that actives off default weapon attacks, offers great Physical damage.

Cadence : Left-click skill. Build up 3 charges and release massive damage on the third hit.

Fighting Spirit : Passive skill that activates when hit, increases your damage done alot.

Menhir's Will : Passive skill that actives when health is low, restores health and increases health regeneration.

Military Conditioning : Passive skill, always active. Increases physique and health.

Blitz : Right-click skill. Rush to the target and do devastating damage.

Overguard : Activation skill, acts as second health potion.

Shield Training : Passive skill, always active. Increase shield block chance and recovery time.

Fighting Form : Addon skill to Cadence. Increase the amount of targets the skill can hit at once.

Veterancy : Passive skill, always on. Increase health regeneration, constitution and reduce physique requirement for armor.

War Cry : Activation skill, greatly reduced enemy health, and reduce the damage that they do.

Field Command : Toggle skill, increases armor and offensive / defemsive ability.

Decorated Soldier : Passive skill, always on. Greatly increase Physical damage and resistances.

Blindside : Addon skill to Blitz. Increase the amount of targets hit and add more Physical damage

Squad Tactics : Addon skill to Field Command. Adds alot of damage and attack speed.

Break Morale : Addon skill to War Cry. Disrupt enemy skills and reduce their Physical resistance.

Counter Strike : Toggle skill, Actives when hit. Retalliation damage and some Physical damage.

Deadly Momentum : Addon skill to Cadence. Inceases all Physical damage done after a Cadence strike.

Scars of Battle : Passive skill, always active. Adds bleeding resistance and reduction in stun / freeze durations.

Menhir's Bulwark : Toggle skill, increase in health regeneration and some Physical damage.

   

Demolitionist Skills

Flame Touch : Toggle skill, allows up to get the addon skill.

Vindictive Flame : Toggle skill, increase Physical damage and movement speed. Also adds health regeneration.

Temper : Addon skill to Flame Touch. Adds alot of Physical damage and armor.

Ulzuin's Wrath : Addon to Vindictive Flame. Adds some elemental damage, more importantly, chances of knockdown of slowing

Blast Shield : Passive skill, activates at low health, increases resistances and adds damage absorption.
